thermosetting plastic materials in production. Molten plastic is forced at high pressure into a mold, where it cools and hardens and the molten shape acquired is the inverse of the product’s shape. After a product is designed, usually by an industrial designer or an engineer, molds are made by a moldmaker from metal and precision-machined to form the features of the desired part. Injection molding is low cost for simple and complex parts. Injection molding is an extremely versatile process for producing a wide range of simple or complex plastic parts - economically and with a good finish. The plastic injection molding provided by Natur-Tec are use for making cutlery, containers etc which is a biodegradable product.

Bioplastics are a form of plastics derived from renewable biomass sources, such as vegetable oil, corn starch, pea starch or microbiota, rather than traditional plastics which are derived from petroleum. They are used either as a direct replacement for traditional plastics or as blends with traditional plastics. All bio-based and petroleum-based plastics are technically biodegradable, meaning they can be degraded by microbes under suitable conditions.

Biobased Cutlery

The utensils made out of this bio-based and biodegradable polymer resins are compostable. The materials made out of these resins are easy to handle and can withstand heavy heat by retaining its shape. It’s our duty to save our mother land, so help to save the environment by using high quality line of cutlery. Every year 40 billion polystyrene utensils are thrown into landfills. Using this biodegradable cutlery, allows you to convert your disposables to composable one. Biodegradable cutlery should pass all recognized tests of biodegradability and should meet the international standards for compostable plastics such as the ASTM D6400 and the DIN EN 13432 norm. There are few companies which offer this type of plastics and nature-tec is one among them. Natur-Tec , BM201S and BM201T can be used to injection mold parts for applications such as cutlery, hangers, containers and thermoforming for application of general consumer packaging.

Biodegradable Plastic

Biodegradable Plastic

Biodegradable product produced by these types of plastic materials are decomposable in the natural environment.Biodegradable plastics are also involved in corrosion prevention.Biodegradable Plastics play an important role in aiding the collection and source separation of organic waste. These fully biodegradable and compostable plastics can be used as compost bags or bin liners for food waste collection. Unlike bags made of regular polyethylene, bags made of compostable plastics do not interfere with the composting process nor in any way degrade the quality of the final compost.

Natur-Tec offers a proprietary biodegradable resin that can be converted into film and bags of any size and thicknesses. This resin can be processed on regular blown-film equipment. NTIC’s biodegradable resin meets all international standards for compostable plastics such as ASTM D6400 (U.S.), EN 13432 (Europe) and GreenPLA (Japan) among others.

Biodegradable Packing Material Friday, Jul 25 2008

An alternative Packing and packaging material to reduce global warming has to be implemented and such material has to be Biodegradable. Biodegradable Packing Materials are Compostable and are derived from nature. This type of packaging is environmentally friendly and offers customers with a wide lot of varieties when making a purchase. These bags are totally reusable. Recycling products does not simply mean using recyclable goods but reusing what is already out there. Plastic bags and packaging already exist, and because most are not biodegradable, they won’t go away and get reused. Reusing plastic products is one simple step toward sustaining the environment. Such services are provided by certain companies like Natur-tec which produces 100%  biodegradable Bags.

Biodegradable film bags Friday, Jul 11 2008

Bags made of biodegradable polythene film, which decompose when bear to sun, air, and moisture, and are also suited for composting have been projected as an alternative to conventional plastic shopping bags. However, they do not willingly decompose in a sealed landfill and symbolize a possible contaminant to plastic recycling operations.

Natur-Tec an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional plastics manufacturing biodegradable and compostable trash bags. Plastic custom bags have advantages and disadvantages when compared to alternatives such as paper bags. Heavy duty multiple-use shopping bags are frequently considered environmentally superior than single-use paper or plastic custom bags. Single-use bags can be recycled, or can be reused by persons as trash bags, storage bags, and so on.
